GT-8 Board

User page-rating: 0.00

I use this board it with my Naylor Duel60 for smaller club gigs. I go straight into the preamp. I tried the infamous 4-cable method where you can put effects before and after the preamp but I found out that this is a tone sucker method!

The booster is a new prototype from Paul Lenders. Very clean and transparent. Think of an AC Booster for grown-ups! The booster comes right after the (external) volume pedal. I use the booster to get more signal into the amp so I can set the amps gain level lower.

The FV-500L is used as an volume pedal because I hate the small action of the internal GT-8 pedal. That`s really mickey mouse to me.

The tuner is a standard Boss TU-2 pedal tuner and has been re-housed so it fits nice into the board. The 2 knobs on the top of the board are Tuner On/Off and Booster On/Off. There is also a gain control for the booster.

Hmmm... I would have to put the pedal out of the board to show you that... but the thing is sticked there with velcro...

He used the same switches there. Maybe the space in the picture looks smaller than it actually is. But you can also Paul directly if you have questions.

I checked my 500L, and the jack on the side is "tuner out", so I still don't get how there's room for the jacks on top of the pedal in picture number 3??

Thanks Bernd

Ahh - now I see why in the world I couldn't get it to fit. I thought you said you were using the i/o's ... on the 500L they're located at the top, but apparently the exp is on the side. My bad ;-)

Great board Bernd! Heh - my board for small gigs right now is: GT-8, Boss FV-500L ;-)

Tell me more about the booster! Where in the chain, and is it on all the time?

Do you go direct with this board or use it with an amp?

How do you use the volume pedal? As expression pedal with the GT-8 or just as main volume after the GT-8?

And how on earth is there room enough for the jacks in the FV-500?
