That's it, the super-mega-ultra TC 2290.

If should i choose only one device, that would be this one, period.

Does delay, modulated delay, dynamic delay... but you can also turn the delay off and use just the modulation stuff, the unit is capable of some very nice tremolos etc...

After decades, it still sounds amazing, top sound quality.
If you want to still push it a lil' further, hack the PCB and bypass the 5 fx loops (and their buffering), you may like the sound even more.

It does not offer "modern" MIDI features as CC, but what almost nobody says is that the unit offers full remote control by MIDI sys-ex (see attached PDF file below).

It also offers 4 external global functions that you can program as you like/need: in a live performance you can set a footswitch to change the feedback, cut filtering, turn modulation on/off, whatever.
There's tap tempo as well of course!

Got 11 seconds of memory installed, that allows some looping as well.

My secret, final plan is to drop the 606 and pick a 2nd TC 2290 filled with 32 seconds to use together with this one, that would allow some very pleasant delaying and looping too ;-)

Looper and delay. I use it for the looping. Tons of features. Off the board right now because I'm not using any looping currently and it adds a lot of noise. It gets the job done but eventually I plan on replacing it with the EHX 2880 looper (that is if I start using looping a little more).

gigging pedalboard 2007. not ecactly pretty but i worked quite well. 2 circuits with true bypass allowed to create two "presets".
on the other hand it had been heavy and too unhandy to carry/handle…
