Baritone Special

from berndhep, 1 Comments, 775 Views

This is a Japanese made guitar. It was quite cheap but I felt some soul in it. So my mates at Gitarren Total in Zurich modded it with the great Duesenberg P90 pu`s and a saddle.

Blueshawk

from digitalpig, 0 Comments, 153 Views

I had quite a lot of heavy strats. Now I wanted to have "something different", and here it is, my blues guitar!

I'm a big blues and blues rock fan, so I wanted something which could deliver me some useful sounds for that style of music, apart from the typical humbucker sounds. Then I heard about the Blueshawk and became very quickly very interested. ;)

It has two "Blues P90's", a 3way switch and the 6way varitone circuit -> This sums up to 18 different sounds!

Be careful, you can lose yourself in finding the right sound for what you want to play right now. So you'll switch around more than you actually play ;)

Actually, it took a while to get warm with it, but now I'm happy with it. I'll put on lighter strings next time. When I got it, I restrung it with 10's, which I use on my Les Paul. But I quickly noticed that this one does not have a Les Paul scale (24,75"), but a Strat scale (25,5")! So making bendings is harder than I like. I tuned it down one half-step and now it's okay, but the next set of strings will be 9's.

Not that rare but still pretty quirky. I love it to the death.
