Mojovibe

from faizz, 0 Comments, 226 Views

After years with a Dunlop Univibe i got a great deal on this Mojovibe and it was a no brainer.

This is a great pedal with a great tone: it's also compact in size and has the external speed control, way too many Univibe reissues are still missing this important feature.

There's a buffer on-board that you can turn on/off depending by your needs/taste, very clever.

It may not be the real thing at 100% but - really - who cares? I do not actually ;-)

Black Cat Vibe

from juicemaker, 0 Comments, 280 Views

This Univibe Clone by CAE to me is the sweetest sounding I've heard so far but I hardly use it live since I just cannot find a usefull rack-adaptor (its half rack sized - if anybody knows about the existence of a rack adaptor for it please send me a message!!). And finding an appropriate AC adaptor was another issue. I now run it with a Hughes&Kettner Tubefactory 12V AC Adaptor... But the sound is just to die for! And the green lightbulb flashing in sync makes a great lightshow on stage :)

Voodoo-Vibe+

from juicemaker, 0 Comments, 175 Views

The new Voodoo-Vibe+ has the same great, analog swooshing Univibe sound that one expects from it and maybe already knows from it predecessor the regular Voodoo-Vibe. Sounds like Hendrix, Trower, Vaughan, Landau etc. Lots of knobs I know, but consider that you get a Tremolo, a Vibrato and a Chorus pedal in one box. And the manual is very good in explaining what knob does what and how to set it. The Chorus-mode is actually not really a "chorus" as you know it but the aforementioned Univibe sound. Tremolo is what it says and Vibe is a bit like an Amp-Vibrato. New is the output section where you can choose between a true-bypass output or 2 buffered outputs that let you route the signal to 2 different amps for example. Also new are the square pulse settings. Makes your Tremolo-mode even more usefull. All in all this is an outstanding pedal with lots of different sounds. Just with the Bias knob you can find great new sounds in every setting. The switch is rock-solid and the potis have more "grip" and dont move as easy as in the older version which is good because you don't change settings accidentally.
